ABOUT
Wands & Warriors provides youth-led tabletop roleplaying games for young adventurers aged 12-15. Whether you’re a seasoned hero or about to embark on your first quest, our groups offer a welcoming and supportive space to explore storytelling, imagination, teamwork, and creativity.
All of our groups proudly welcome LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent youth, and NDIS funding can be used to attend our groups.
We are a project of Reravel (an NDIS provider and therapy practice in Brisbane) and our youth are supported by an experienced allied health professional at all of our sessions.
BEYOND THE TABLE
At Wands & Warriors, we provide an experience that is more than just a game. Tabletop roleplaying games can be a powerful tool for developing real world skills, without it feeling like effort. Our games focus on:
- Creative thinking through problem solving and roleplay.
- Communication and teamwork by collaborating with others at the table.
- Confidence by stepping into character in a safe and structured environment.
MEET THE TEAM
LEO
Leo is the founder of Wands and Warriors and our main Game Master. They wanted to bring their love of roleplaying games to more people and create an inclusive fun space for people to connect. Leo has been running D&D campaigns since they were 12 and has loads of experience creating adventures and wrangling fellow teens. Leo likes board games, fantasy, storytelling, hanging out, and gaming.
JULIE PARRY
(She/Her)
Julie is an Occupational Therapist at Reravel who is excited to be supporting young people to participate at Wands and Warriors. She is a lifetime gamer and loves old school board games (Monopoly, anyone?). At Reravel, Julie helps young people and adults with disabilities with meaningful activity in their daily lives.
BRIANNON STEVENS (They/Them)
Briannon (Bri) is a social worker who has worked with young people and families for more than 20 years. Bri is a therapist at Reravel, specialising in disability, LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergence. Bri loves hearing about your pets, your OG art and creations, and queer sci-fi tv and book recommendations.
